Greater Anglia train drivers walked out for a pay rise on 2 July. The drivers have had their pay frozen since April 2019, and earn a lot less than the lies of £59,000 paraded by the Tories. Previously, these ASLEF union members in the east of England were out with the RMT during the national rail strike on 23 June. 90% of trains were cancelled during the latest strike, and my station — Waltham Cross — was completely closed. When we visited the RMT picket line at Broxbourne during the previous strike, which is also on this line, the handful of trains running were almost completely empty.
