Hackney Socialist Party has organised three socialist ‘park sales’ this summer, sometimes instead of our normal Saturday Socialist Party campaign stall. It has been very successful.
Across three events, 45 young people have bought our Socialist paper. Once, we sold out. Each of these event involved just two Socialist Party members.
The sun is out. It’s warm. So large numbers of young workers and students flock to their local park.
Just by approaching individuals or groups, asking ‘would you like a copy of the Socialist that shows Burnham is fundamentally no different to Starmer’ gets you an in. You will be amazed at how many Socialist papers you can sell, and conversations engaged in.
We’ve met bus drivers and film workers as well as a local housing activist, who are now interested in finding out more about the Socialist Party.
