Camden Unison school strike

Camden Unison School Strikers

Camden Unison members at Richard Cobden school are taking their second four-day block of strike action against low pay and staffing cuts. The strike has grown as more support staff are determined to fight for the pay that goes with the increase in duties the school imposed on them after making cuts. The measures have made classrooms and lunchtime less safe for staff and children, even though management claim they have made a health and safety risk assessment — which they’ve not shared with Unison or Camden council’s health and safety advisors.

Members are more determined than ever to fight for increased pay and proper, safe working arrangements.
